NEW replacement Silverado mirrors are

Silverado mirror is power operated with heated mirror glass. The mirror
housing is textured) with a
smooth black (paint-able) backing/insert.
The replacement mirror fits Chevrolet Silverado LS, LT regular, extended
and crew cab models. The Silverado replacement mirror is engineered and
built to OEM specifications for OEM
appearance, fit and function. The Silverado replacement mirror
assembly retains the original mounting locations and uses the correct
electrical connector for easy and quick installation. In fact
replacing the mirror does not require removing the door trim panel, just
the small triangular cover on the corner of the door (above the trim
panel). Once the cover is removed the three 10mm nuts that hold the
mirror to the door are accessible. Pull the mirror away from the door
and unplug the wires. Our collision shop estimator book gives the entire
process 18 minuets, it may take the average guy or gal a little longer

Heated- the mirror glass has a heating
element that melts snow/ ice or fog. The element is turned on via the
rear defrost if equipped.
I'm not sure if I have heated mirrors, how can I
tell? Most heated mirrors will have a small black picture (square
with 3-4 "radiant" lines) on the corner of the glass. Or on your
production tag (RPO tag) the option DL8 indicates heated mirrors. The
option tag (RPO tag) is small white sticker located on the glove box or
console lid. There are several 3 digit codes on the tag. These codes
indicate which options came with your truck - again DL8 indicates heated
mirror glass. |
